The weather here in Vancouver can sometimes leave you asking for more. However, this summer the weather has been pleasant and we decided to make the most of this by organizing the annual Summer Barbecue. We were very excited as this was the first event organized by us, the executive team of 2017. It is not wrong to say that the Grad students were as excited as us, given that the barbecue at the beach was the top choice in the survey for the summer events. The turnout, as expected was high and everyone was in great spirits.
We had the Barbecue at Spanish Banks on July 19. As you can see, everybody was really engaged and had fun playing Frisbee and Volleyball. In the meantime, we were busy with preparing the food. By the looks of it everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful views at the beach.
